IMO I feel this is a much worse Eddy Torture Porn than "Sorry, Wrong Ed" for a similar reason that "Choir Boys" is so horrible. Rather than some cosmic force, karma, or bad luck tormenting Eddy, Kevin is ACTIVELY making Eddy miserable, when he really hasn't done anything truly wrong. Yeah, Jimmy did get a little beat from making a wax dummy, but he's been through worse. And on that front of making wax dummies, that's actually a pretty good scam so to speak, the beginning of this episode right before Kevin finds Eddy's wallet and learns his middle name is really really good. For once, the Ed's are making money semi-legitimately and that's neat. Honestly, I wish it had stayed at that level. Also just like in "Sorry Wrong Ed", Ed gets the best lines of the episode, and you gotta love him and Double D playing tick-tack-toe.
Back to the main plot: yeah, I get it, a lot of people have embarrassing first, middle or last names. Hell, my last name is kind of unusual; I won't say what it is, but let's just say it wouldn't be hard to make fun of. Fortunately, the only times anyone ever did it to me it was just playful mocking. When Kevin does it to Eddy, he's just King Asshole. To be honest, Eddy's middle name isn't that embarrassing; if he had Double D's middle name, I would understand. Eddy is constantly paranoid over Kevin telling others his middle name and he's more than willing to do so, all while being a smug motherfucker. Eddy constantly embarrasses himself in front of others so Kevin won't reveal his middle name and embarrass him in from of others. You see the problem, right? Even after Eddy literally acts like a trained seal for this prick, it's revealed Kevin told everyone Eddy's middle name anyway, even after he said he wouldn't in the end and gets no punishment!
If I could compare this episode, I'd compare it to "Arnold Betrays Iggy" from Hey Arnold! or "Shop Talk" from My Little Pony Tales, since all 3 episodes have very similar plot-structures. For now, I'll say “Arnold Betrays Iggy” is the worst of the 3, but this one is 2nd worst. But at least it has parts I like that make it so I don't completely hate the episode. This is mostly due to the fact that Double D is concerned for Eddy's pain, and that would be nice, but then Eddy turns on him and reveals Double D's middle name like a total asshole, since he always has to be the bad guy apparently.
