With the recent release of Cuphead this cartoon has gained a massive relevance due to being the core inspiration for the game among many of Felsicher Studios surreal and honestly, less insane but still insane all the same cartoons. Back in the beginning cartoons were always something meant for all ages, they were seen as a more adult and artsy film concept, and by god this proves that idea tefold!

The road to Hell is the path of least resistance and many many pitfalls that act as shortcuts. If this is insane acidic drudgery of damnation Bimbo got is what awaits those who steal chickens, shooting craps and steal girls I shudder to think what would happen to me if I went apeshit on the bird! For something so old it has amazingly fluid animation that remarkably still holds up to this day! I don't think the Fleischers had ever made a trippeir short than this one even going through all that they've done.

Given how this film has been virtually lost to the sands of time compared to most Fleischer works it doesn't surpise me most people don't remember this. Betty Boop still has merchandise even after 80-ish years and yet nobody can really bring up any of her cartoons. It's a DAMNED shame... I think kids these days need to be explored t this sort of fear early in life! If you can, buy Cuphead and watch this short!

Hey,Regulas314,did you know there was an original ending where the camera zooms into the Skulls nose, revealing the Paramount Logo, from a few years earlier, in the final shot.which was cut out when the cartoon was sold to NTA/UM&M TV Corporation in the Mid-to-Late 1950's. check out the ending in Jerry Beck's original recreation of the cartoon with original titles.
