To the people out there who don't like Lana because they just consider her a gross outlet for the show like Lily, I hope this episode can prove to you that isn't the case. I actually really like Lana, she's in my top 5 Ooud siblings with Lola very close by. To most Alana is just another tomboy meant to "prove" that girls who don't act like girls exist; never mind that most of the Loud Sisters aren't typically girly in any sense. Lana is interesting because next to Lisa she just might be the smartest member of the family, given she's unbelievably amazing with plumbing, auto repairs and other physical labors you'd expect from a grease monkey. But Lana being the dirty one isn't why I like her, it's  her heart and deviation that I love!

Let me just say that breeding animals for the sole purpose of experimentation is fucking wrong! I find it awful enough that people breed and sell animals with no survival skills regardless of things like birth defects but this... animals who only have the instinct to fuck and make more babies aren't gonna surivie in the wild, this is the point of course. These types of animals are throwaway and meant or a singular purpose just like a Skud or MR. MESEEKS! LOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Unlike those Gus however I don't believe they'd be content with dying for their one use! I get the purpose of dissection, or at least before schools stopped doing them (I never did this); but breeding animals to get cut open is fucked up!

I fully believe Lana's story about how she met Hops and deeply sympathize with her and Lincoln's plights to save their green friends! Hell even I didn't know that dissection frogs had no surivival skills beofre this episode! I likely would've made the same mistakes in doing their rescue mission, and been put away if I tired this on counts of insanity, thievery, animal abuse, the list goes on! Principal Huggins isn't a villain here either, he's just trying to get back school property and it's very understandable why he'd be so pisses about this. Although, I would probably just show him and Ms. Johnson the film from the start instead of steal them, but then we'd have no episode! And who doesn't like a good rescue mission?

Another thing I only just noticed is that this episode ONLY has Lincoln and Lana as the focus and no other secondary characters besides the teacher and principal. This is actually very smart as it allows the episode to better focus on the characters that matter and not get into pacing problems. Most episodes of this show that try to cram in all the Loud Siblings rarely do so in meaningful ways beyond quick jokes, but this also breaks up the pacing unless they can be incorpated into the story like in "Fed Up". This is why recent episodes like "Roadie to Nowhere" and "Net Gains" have been among the best of the series for not simply being on Lincolns perepsective and allowing the sisters to shine individually giving them more character. Still, this episode utilizes both Lincoln and Lana in a great way and shows why they have a great dynamic.

Too bad this episode was paired with "no such luck"
