Wow... Damn... I honestly didn't know what to expect from an episode like this. Most episodes that tackle the idea of holding someone's secrets over their heads has the tattletale end up snitching anyways even when their victim gets one of their own secrets, and they get no repercussions. A lot of the time with
The Loud House, I question whether the Loud siblings actually care about one another, considering a lot of really good episodes in this show give the backhand and end with Lincoln in undeserved misery or what not. For example, I really liked the episode "Cover Girls" and think it had a great premise of how tight they all are, but the ending kind of wrecked it; this is also a problem with a lot of the earlier episodes. My review of the episode "The Green House" didn't do the show justice, so I'm going to compromise with quite a few admirables of it overtime. And no, I'm doing this because I took a good look at it and maybe got curious, not because MrEnter claims he'll do it.

Despite what some people think, having a character that's a total brat isn't a bad thing when they're portrayed in the right manner. The problem with characters like D.W. in Arthur is that they oftentimes get away with being absolutely horrible to everyone and get their way most of the time. Characters like Angelica Pickles and Kootie Pie Koopa are absolutely annoying, and it works because they're the antagonist or villain and oftentimes get consequences for their horrible behavior. D.W. doesn't work because we're supposed to be on her side! I know that a lot of people hate her the most out of all the Loud siblings, but I do like Lola Loud as far as bratty villains go. It helps that Grey DeLisle-Griffin gave her the right tone of voice to make her obnoxious to the characters and not to the audience along with the type of attitude you'd expect from a pageant queen.

In a big family like the Loud House, trust and being able to keep secrets with each other is a must! Secrets are a pain to keep when you're an only child, but with a sibling you can actually trust, you've got nothing to worry about, and then there are siblings like Lola. Contrary to popular belief, a tattletale isn't always a bad thing when it's against things like bullies, but when you do it to your own siblings, it's low when they mean you no harm! What I like about this episode is that not only does it showcase Lola as an effective manipulator, but it shows that all of the Loud kids have their secrets and aren't perfect, allowing them to feel more real to us. Being imperfect is not a bad thing, it's only when these imperfections become their sole character trait that they become truly bad characters.

I gotta say I love everything Lola puts her siblings through in this episode by using their secrets as the cheese to lure in the mice. She never got too far beyond having them do petty things to entertain her and never causes them real threats, humiliation or pain at their expense, so it keeps her a likable kind of asshole. And Lincoln actually does manage to get back at her by getting one of her own secrets, but she comes out and says she only did this because her siblings wouldn't let her play. Normally, in this situation, doing this kind of sympathy grubbing disgusts me, but I understand it because she is only 6, and they didn't give her a chance (for good reason though), and she does end up actually learning from this experience. She felt genuine remorse for her behavior and even took their punishments for their own secrets as karma to make up for being a dick! I've also seen this kind of growth from Lola in the episode "Toads and Tiaras" which I might get to.

The Loud House is owned by Nickelodeon and Viacom.
