"All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again."

Its been 7 long years, 244 episodes, many many many My Moms, Your Fired's, Good Shows, hmm hmm's and OOOOOOOH's, all leading up to this one final moment! Honestly when they had first set up what would become Regular Show's final season I didn't really care for what the were doing, the whole Dome Expermient seemed very arbitrary, "Pop's Planet" felt like a filler episode, it just felt poorly set up until the season 7 finale "Rigby's Graduation Special" when the Park staff was launched into space! At first, I found this to be the moment where Regular Show had jumped the shark since, many of these scenarios could've easily just even done on Earth given its surreal nature and laid back charm.

But once they started to go into Pops' whole story and how he fits into all of this, I finally understood the purpose of the "IN SPACE" season and many of the episode a season prior. It doesn't justify the poor setup but I get them now! This special couldn't have been done better if they tried, it is TRULY and wholly perfect in essence to everything that Regular Show has done going back to its very PITCH PILOT! And I have to say that how this show got treated near the end of its life is absolutely SICKENING! Time for a rage-induced tangent!

Ever since 2015 at the very least Cartoon Network has not been treating their own FLAGSHIP SHOWS Adventure Time and Regular Show with very much respect. That year they dumped the shows that got them out of their network decay on the late night block, and then eventually STOPPED rerunning the shows altogether in the middle of that year! And in 2016 it was announced the shows were coming to an end after their eight and ninth seasons. Eventually, Adventure Time barely got any advertisements at all; and as for Regular Show? Well they just decided to burn off the final season in massive bursts leading up to the SERIES FINALE where they put it in the 6PM timeslot on MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY after a TEEN TITANS GO MARATHON! Aaaaanywho... back to Regular Show!

A final battle between good and evil siblings is something that's been done to death for sure, but never on this grand of a scale! As it turns out Pops is an alien hailing from the planet Lollyland (sound familiar to anyone?) and for billions and possibly TRILLIONS of years Pops and his evil brother Anti-Pops have battled for the fate of the universe. Or rather that would be the case if their battle didn't reset it every single time. Every 14 Billion years (the approximate age of our universe) the battle begins again and the universe resets, ending in reverse in a draw that has never been broken! Lollyland is the only thing that ever survives the destruction so as to record each battle, and each one is stranger than the last...

Like Exit 9B this features the return of many fan favorite characters to help Pops out during this climatic battle, involving everybody from the Baby Ducks, Death and even Carter and Briggs! We even get the Format Warriors in on this bitch! When trying to prank Anit-Pops or Malus-Kranus fails it leads to an epic battle that must be seen to be believed! You know how in the Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Money" reality basically reset to the point where everything in Elmore reset to sticky note storyboards? That's the power of Malus-Kranus to Pop's Mega-Kranus; Creation Vs. Destruction on a level that breaks EVERY WALL CONCIEVEABLE!

This battle threatens to tear apart not only the universe of the show but the implications of spilling into the real world! Leading into one of the best examples of a heroic sacrifice I've ever seen. Sometimes all you need to do is give someone a hug... A hug can make everything better... Sometimes doing something different makes all the difference... The ending to it all just wraps up the series perfectly, one of the few times where almost everyone getting the happy ending works out very well... I promise you this is a happy ending all things considered, good show Regular Show, jolly good show.

the only thing I don't like about this finale is what they did with Mordo...like, no exposition on who the bat girl that he married was, no lines from her, nothing.
