Description

Show: Courage the Cowardly Dog
Episode: S1 1a
Year: 1999

Writer(s): John R. Dilworth, Irivin S. Bauer
Director(s): John R. Dilworth

The start of one of the greatest Cartoon Cartoons ever made, and proving themselves as able to get away with anything with a homage to Psycho and Silence of the Lambs no less! I don't think I have to say that being able to put a serial killer played completely straight in a children's cartoon is damn near impossible, hence why Katz is one of the best villains in the whole show, essentially he's Hannibal Lector as a cat, that's impressive. As an arachnophobiac this episode gives me chills, what with Katz first ever plot being to feed the Bagges to his pet giant mutant spiders and all, and each ones design is unique and vibrant, like something you'd see in a video game. All in all this episode is a great one to start out on if your just getting into the series, and why not? It is the first episode after all!

Courage the Cowardly Dog is owned by John R. Dilworth, Stretch Films and Cartoon Network.

1001 animations is from Mr. Enter.
