Even shows that are versed in mean spirited humor can oftentimes take it way too far: Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and even CatDog. This episode starts out typically enough until about halfway through, where the cruelty towards Cat is just unbearable. All the guy wanted to do was watch a pay-per-view wrestling match, WHICH HE PAYED FOR, and (to list): Cat’s douchebag roommate Winslow leaves him hanging while Winslow trashes the house and Cat misses his show; Cat gets beat up by the Greaser Dogs; said house burns down; Cat gets STRUCK BY LIGHTING; and a little prick of a Dalmatian puppy pretty much rips his nose off! And what was done to warrant getting shat on by the universe? CAT WOULDN'T LET WINSLOW WATCH THE WRESTLING MATCH! Yes, Cat was being a bit of a jerk there, but he had very sound reasoning; he paid for the match and Winslow didn't. Cat offers to let him watch with Winslow if he chipped it, and Winslow basically told Cat 'fuck you!'. Dog is at his absolute worst here. You could argue that protecting the hydrant was in his animal nature, since as a dog he acts more on instinct. But NO, even when he goes wild, he still shows some concern for his brother. But in this episode, when his brother gets STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, Dog doesn't even notice or CARE! ALL BECAUSE SOME LITTLE BITCH (yes, it's a dog that did it, but it's a boy, so it's an insult and a pun) PISSED OR SHIT ON A HYDRANT THAT WAS RIGHTFULLY HIS! This episode just makes me angry, even for shows that usually do shit like this all the time; this show went way beyond what counts as too far, and this show along with the others I've mentioned and more have had many episodes even worse than this one! They don't spout controversial garbage, they don't make the censors want to commit suicide; they just take cruelty WAY TOO FAR!

Cringe-Inducing Visuals: 5 (Cat is near constantly unjustifiably abused throughout the episode, be it undergoing physical pain, or his property destroyed and stolen leaving him completely insane, and unlike, say Daffy Duck or Tom from Tom & Jerry, he did nothing to warrant any of this.)
Lackluster Writing: 4 (The episode is typical enough until the wrestling match starts, then it all goes downhill.)
Annoyance: 8 (Dog's constant vigilance over a hydrant that ain't even his makes this episode more tedious than “Waiting” from SpongeBob.)
Disturbing Content (out of place): 3 (Normally, to deserve a beating Cat shoots off his mouth or something or it's a contrived accident, but to go so far as to burn his house down and strike him with lightning goes above the norm.)
Unnecessary Cruelty: 7 (This is normal for the show, torment for comedy, but the way they go about it here is too much even for them. Cat did nothing to deserve any of it and they took it way too far.)

Unfortunate Implications: 4 (If you pay-per-view, invite the freeloader to watch even if he doesn't wanna chip in; otherwise, your house will burn down and the universe will make you its bitch. Also, it's okay to persecute others for trespassing on your property, especially if the property doesn't really belong to you.)
Character Derailment: 8 (Dog is truly ‘Patrick's a Prick’ unlikeable here. Normally, his stupidity is charming, if not a bit annoying. But here, he's just a dick; he doesn't care about what Cat wants as long as he tears up whoever pissed or shit on the hydrant that isn't even his.)

Man I really hate this episode First Cat miss the ppv wrestling match,then he got beat up by the greaser dogs and last he got struck by lightning and his house is on fire! All because of Dog caring about himself and that stupid hydrant!
