Description

Show: Ed, Edd n Eddy
Episode: 20a
Year: 1999

This episode is what I consider to be the first bad episode of the show. That being said, it isn't irredeemable, it does have some very funny moments. A lot of the time, the show knows when to give consequence to the right characters; this isn't one of those times.

For starters, Eddy never does anything wrong in this episode to deserve being humiliated and embarrassed. This episode also forgets that Eddy can take care of himself at home and has never been shown being afraid of being home alone before or since. After all, we've seen that Eddy can cook food for himself and others; granted, he does call Double D and Ed to keep him company. Also what kind of parents leaves their preteen son home alone without telling them they sent a babysitter? Timmy Turner’s parents obviously, but I'm getting off topic.

Nazz can also come off as a condescending b**** here treating Eddy like he's 1/2 her age, or a toddler. She NEVER lets him know she's his babysitter until the end, where she completely blames Eddy for destroying the house, even though it was Ed's fault, albeit accidentally. Then the shot above happens and Eddy's tongue gets put in a diaper.

Like I said, this isn't as bad as “If It Smells Like an Ed” or “Sorry, Wrong Ed”. I can still watch and enjoy this episode, but it is mean spirited, even for the shows nature and can rub some people, myself included, the wrong way.

heres my score for this:

Final score: 16/100

Animated Atrociies was made by :iconmrenter: and Ed, Edd n Eddy is owned by Danny Antonucci,  Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. to Sir With Ed was written by Robert Leighton, John Howard and Danny Antonucci.

Edit: If you wanna do this plot correctly with the kid falling in love with the babysitter, take notes from The Simpsons episode "New Kid on the Block" from season 4.

edit: I revised my score a bit to fit with Mr. Enters guidelines.

I don't like this episode either and Nazz was definitely acting like a way bigger jerk than Eddy ever was and I'm really sorry for strong language, but she was also an asshole in the To Sir With Ed episode as well.

If this episode was handled much better, then Eddy should at least justifiably get mad at Nazz and her friends and tell while yelling at them that they should either leave his house and never come back or tell them to clean up the mess in his house with Edd and Ed helping them out like what real friends would do, despite Eddy being naked; I think he would overcome his shame and embarrassment until he can put his clothes on.
