Wow, this show is even lamer than I remember. Yakkity Yak, at its core, is an ill-formed rip-off of Rocky & Bullwinkle merged with SpongeBob SquarePants. Yakkity Yak himself is essentially Bobby Hill with absolutely no wit or charm and combined with SpongeBob's Season 6-7 annoyance; I thought Lee Tockar (Yakkity Yak’s voice actor) was annoying as Eugene "Bling-Bling Boy" Hamilton from Johnny Test, but this kid takes annoying to a new level! The setting of this show, Onion Falls, doesn't really have any soul or use any real forms of logic; I mean, we've got a mad scientist with hair straight out of Chowder, a pineapple with a body whose father is a regular pineapple, this Lisa Simpson knockoff voiced by Andrea Libman, and this candy store owner wearing really high up pants who I'm pretty sure is a closet homosexual. The plots themselves are also fairly disjointed and confusing like today's episode.
Basically, Yakkity Yak wants his idol, "comedy godfather" Jackie Pachyderm, to be a part of the Onion Falls 100th anniversary founders day parade. Needless to say, even the committee realizes how stupid this idea sounds and laughs him off since the parade is for distinguished figures in Onion Falls history, which in and of itself almost sounds like they're saying comedians aren't distinguished, but I understand what they're getting at. Granted, we are supposed to feel sad for Yakkity when this happens, but after how much he wouldn't shut the fuck up about the guy to Keo and Lemony, he kind of had this coming. And from what I saw of Jackie's material, he really is pathetic, the worst stand up prop comic in history. His one gimmick is using the same joke over and over, which kind of reminds me of Modern SpongeBob.
Yakkity tries to make his own float to enter in the parade, and believe me, this thing is pathetic; even his own friends laugh at it, and I agree with them! I'm not SUPPOSED to agree with them for laughing at Yakkity's float! Yakkity ends up creating an abomination of a float that loses control and nearly destroys the town because he was stupid enough to pilot a giant float all by himself! By the by, they won't honor a comedian, but they'll honor some dog who invented the modern placemat? What kind of stupid distinction is that!? Dumbass ends up destroying the entire parade because of his stupid ass fangasming! And even afterwards, he still harps on about how this elephant is supposedly the greatest comic ever! He acts worse than Luanne did in the King of the Hill episode "Girl, You'll Be a Giant Soon" and holds up in his own float like a stubborn baby! He won't come out until the town basically admits Jackie Pachyderm is bigger than Jesus Christ, which is NEVER FUCKING HAPPENING!
The really stupid thing is, his friends try to see him in the right for being a huge idiot, but the rest of the town is apparently wrong for seeing him as wrong! I understand objective opinions, but this is idiotic. He actually gets REWARDED for being a moper and ruining the town’s parade by the resident bug Mr. Trilobite summoning Jackie Pachyderm to calm him out of his depression, and he's STILL clinging to his ridiculous notions! I get he's an elephant, but anybody who uses an elephant trumpet as a car horn and ringtone is an annoying son of a bitch, regardless of if they themselves are elephants. All it takes is Jackie screaming at Yakkity to get him to leave his float's wreckage, and yes, he's an asshole, like Rodney Dangerfield with no talent or charm.
Personally, if my idol were a dick to me, I'd stop caring about his ass and see him for what he truly is; granted, I'm not an insane fanboy. The moral here is just as bad as the SpongeBob atrocity episode "Stuck in the Wringer" without the torture: "Moping gets you whatever you want!" Ahahahaha, this show sucks!

I loved the show as a kid but I certainly found Yakkity heavily unlikable. Also, you are aware Chowder didn’t exist yet, right?
