Honestly, what else is there to say about Teen Titans Go! at this point? The show intentionally spites and trolls its audience for whatever reason and thrives off the hatred it receives without ever improving or learning anything. I legitimately cannot care about this show in any capacity anymore if I tried. I wanted to like this show even with its more comedic take on the Titans, I really did, but it's proven more times than I can count that it will never get better and only sink lower and lower. Giving it scathing legitimate criticism isn't going to take it down anytime soon because it WANTS you to hate its guts; it WANTS you to get angry at it for any reason possible. I know nobody wants to hear this, but this show is the living embodiment of "don't feed the trolls".

This is one of the very few shows that isn't really DESERVING of any sort of critique in any capacity. If we all do our part and ignore it entirely no matter what it does, stop watching it altogether and stop reviewing it in any capacity, we can kill Teen Titans Go! and show Warner Brothers this shit can't stand. Why do you think critics bashing their horrible movies never works? The negativity towards Man of Steel didn't stop Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from being any worse than it was, it didn't stop Suicide Squad from being just ok, and it didn't stop DC Comics from stupidly trying to make their own cinematic universe to compete with Disney and Marvel without understanding why they made it work! Teen Titans Go! is not the problem with why Cartoon Network is bad now, it’s the network own fault and Warner Brothers' for making these stupid decisions!

A while back, I compared Teen Titans Go! to Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon", and while that comparison might seem grossly mislabeled, let me explain: I didn't compare the two by their product, but their intentions. Both of these shows are essentially that kid in middle school that tries as hard as possible to seem edgy, hardcore and piss off as many people as possible thinking they can get away with anything and everything. You'd think it'd be enough to just beat the shit out of the kid or reprimand them for their bad behavior, but it never works! These kinds of shows aren't bullies, they're annoying little pests who THINK they're bullies! The only real way to deal with this kind of pest is to IGNORE THEM ENTIRELY! You have to show them you aren't going to let their bullshit get to you if they're just trying to intentionally be horrible no matter how much it might hurt. Because if you show any emotions or lash out, then they win!

So, I have a compromise: rather than just abandon the show entirely, I'm not going to do ANYMORE atrocities of this show after this point. Instead, to show them I can take a joke, I plan to do some of the actually good episodes the show has produced. Teen Titans Go!, unlike Adult Party Cartoon, didn't start out bad at all, and its first few episodes were alright if not kind of bland, and it has shown it can pull off an amazing episode every now and again. So, I suppose I should finally talk about the actual episode in question now because this rant has gone on long enough.

What can you honestly expect from this show when doing an April Fool's Day plot? The whole show feels like an extremely cruel joke! The Titans pulling stupid pranks on each other isn't funny, especially with how bad the show's animation is so nothing looks funny. At the very least when Family Guy does something horrible or pisses people off, it’s unique in what it does or tries to do and is worth talking about. And that's this show in general: the kids equivalent of Family Guy at its worst! The funny thing is the show doesn't really try to aim for kids at all, it's trying to aim for the adults who grew up with the original Teen Titans cartoon and the comics; it's trying to be a show FOR ADULTS!

I will give this episode some credit though: what really made me want to talk about it and bring up my new distance from the show was one particular "joke". Basically, the Toddler Titans try to prank Robin by telling him his dead parents are alive and want to see him. The way the episode shoots this scene makes it seem serious and dramatic before they hit Robin with a horrific prank, and he's left a crying mess. That's absolutely fucked up and easily one of the worst jokes the show has ever done. It's just more proof DC Comics and Warner Brothers don't care about DC Comics anymore.

The entire episode is just one stupid and cruel joke after another with the Titans beating each other for almost no reason. They seem to think these acts of cruelty are jokes, but don't really understand how jokes work. And this is why I don't subscribe to April Fool’s Day at all. Because when I try to prank my dad even in a small way, he gets angry, but when he messes with me almost every other day, I'm supposed to accept it. It basically ends with one giant FUCK YOU to the audience to make us believe the booger monster prank was real all along and that the Titans were going to change for the better, even though if you'd payed any attention at all, you'd know this was a prank episode and could see everything coming from a mile away.

And that's why after this I'm never doing another Animated Atrocities review on Teen Titans Go! ever again! The show and network are never going to learn so long as this shit is allowed to thrive and get all the attention we stupidly give it. So, I expect you all to do the same if we really do want this show to die.

At least you didn't give a mocking name to the show
