This particular cartoon at the time, was actually something that the world needed to know, simply put, smoking isn't healthy, for kids or adults, and just because you smoke, it doesn't make you a tough guy, it just makes you a candidate for lung cancer. This Aesop is delivered, not in a subtle way, but it is done extremely creatively, does it take a little from Pigs Is Pigs? Yeah, kinda, but just because you use stuff from other stuff, it doesn't mean your ripping them off. This the musical number set to mysterious moe, is haunting and very catchy. The visuals in Porky's nightmare are very captivating, the backgrounds are beautiful, and Frank Tashlin adds some of his magic from those live bookstore shorts here. If Dumbo can be used to prevent underaged drinking/acid tripping than this can be a great scare tool to prevent underaged smoking.
